My husband went in for his 3-month check up and his A1C (blood test for diabetics) was down from 9.1 to 6.5, which normal should be 5-7. His cholesterol is down under 200, which it has NEVER been since he's been testing it, and he's lost just over 20 pounds. He and his doctor were quite pleased, and so am I. He has worked really hard these past several months and it has paid off. He knows he will have to continue working his entire life to keep himself healthy.
If you get discouraged on a certain day, just remember that each day makes up a bigger picture. A friend lamented the other day that "Life is just so DAILY." Exactly. Life is made up of daily tasks and choices. Consider where you want to be in the next three months and know that each small day and each small decision DOES make a difference in the end. With that being said, my husband and family have in no way been perfect with this new diet and exercise plan, but we know what the ultimate goal is and will not stop working toward it.
These small changes and choices that we make every day make up what and who we will be. If you don't like the choices you've been making, there is always a new day or even a new hour to make a small change.
That is SO great! I'm so glad to hear that he is doing so well.
